    Description and Responsibilities

    • Operate, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and changeover production and food manufacturing equipment
    • Support Daily Operational needs
    • Repair and modify line as per production requirements
    • Proactive maintenance to minimize equipment down time
    • Creative problem solving skills to perform equipment improvements to optimize production safety, quality, cost, and service
    • Communicate with operators, other mechanics and Supervision
    • Participate in quality training and initiatives, including HACCP, CCP, GMP
    • Prior work experience in production maintenance needed, ideally food manufacturing environment
    • Basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, power transmission troubleshooting, fabricating and/or machining ability, basic electrical troubleshooting, knowledge of 480 volt, three phase, and 120 volt control power
    • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
    • Welding skills are preferred
    • Ability to complete work independently and in a team with limited supervision
    • Ability to coach non-technical team members on basic maintenance


    • High school diploma or GED
    • Four years’ experience in industrial electrical and mechanical, food processing experience preferred.
    • Experience with new equipment installation
    • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial power distribution, steam and PLC controlled equipment
    • Must have a basic understanding and ability to use a computer (excel and e-mail)
    • Experience using of CMMS including MP2 or MVP Plant
    • Position requires shift work, including weekends
