    Position Summary

    Having a passion for Food Safety through Sanitation, while demonstrating interpersonal and team influence skills, the Sanitation Lead will develop effective relationships to enable wet and dry sanitation technical support in the plant. In addition to assisting operations with targeted improvements, this position will provide Sanitation Systems gap assessments and support corrective action to enable compliance to Kerry Central policy. Prior Quality and Sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment is valued.

    • Monitors and controls environmental pathogens and allergens
    • Understands wet and dry cleaning and verification processes to include COP, CIP, soil identification/chemical selection, dry clean methods
    • Complies with GMP, FDA, and / or USDA regulatory requirements in a plant role
    • Supports the development of sanitation systems (MSS, SSOP’s) in collaboration with management.
    • Executes sanitation systems (MSS, SSOP) in collaboration with plant team.
    • Exhibits a working knowledge of, and experience with, HACCP, Hazard analysis, and risk assessments with teams
    • Audits and team corrective action process
    • Supports the pest control program to include stored pest management.
    • Incorporates human safety and sustainability into all sanitation systems
    • Assists in the development of sanitation / food safety related training.
    • Delivers Sanitation / Food Safety related training
    • Supports the investigations to identify cause for reduced shelf life or pathogen risk
    • Applies validation and verification technique for SSOPs in processing and packaging systems validation
    • Utilizes Root Cause Analysis in investigations
    • Demonstrates Kerry leadership competencies.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required. Two to four year degree with emphasis in food science, food technology, food engineering, chemistry, microbiology, or related disciplines is preferred.
    • Minimum two years of Sanitation, Quality, or Food Safety experience in an operations or quality role
    • Knowledge of Equipment design for effective sanitation, preferred.
    • Sanitation and Quality experience across multiple food technologies, preferred.
    • Minimum of one year experience in leading people and projects, preferred.
    • Need to be flexible. May work first or second shift depending on business needs.
