    Description and Responsibilities

    Location:  Remote / Home Office Based, by major airport

    Mobility:  Frequent travel (up to 70%) between sites within the North America region


    The Process Engineer leads and supports various projects ranging in scope from process improvement to capital improvement. This position requires strong knowledge in Project Management, lean manufacturing, process and packaging improvements, and sanitary design for food manufacturing. The Engineer will lead these projects from concept and initial fact finding through to implementation and final handoff. Personnel Safety and Food Safety standards will lead priority in all projects.    


    • Analyze and evaluate project designs and ensure compliance with engineering principles and company standards including sanitary design, and health, safety, and environmental standards
    • Support business case development and alignment of project scoping and cost estimates and timelines for initial project consideration.
    • Lead project cross functional reviews.
    • Inspire a continuous improvement culture across project teams, leading best practice replication and application of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to the project management and engineering space
    • Directly participate in the design, development and creation of scope for engineering projects or the engineering work of the department to achieve maximum efficiency.
    • Identify operational improvements and initiates cost savings measures.
    • Estimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs.
    • Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
    • Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
    • Identify and proposes equipment and/or processing options to meet objectives within projects.
    • Support the bid process, budgeting and submission process for capital and operational projects.
    • Communicate clearly, both written and verbally, with contractors, plant personnel, peers and management.
    • Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.


    Location:  Remote / Home Office Based, by major airport

    Mobility:  Frequent travel (up to 70%) between sites within the North America region

    • Minimum Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Food Science or equivalent technical degree
    • 4+ years’ experience in Project Management with responsibility for capital projects and continuous improvement savings preferred.
    • Related experience in Food industry preferred.
    • Must be comfortable working independently within a decentralized team
