    Description and Responsibilities

    • Perform a pre-trip inspection of the vehicle before each shift.
    • Maintain radio or telephone contact.
    • Drive tractor-trailer within yard to move trailers in and out of the docks as needed in a timely manner.
    • Must maintain the yard tractor and warehouse in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing processes.
    • Interact with warehouse team members to maximize output and efficiency.
    • Inspect truck and trailer equipment to ensure road worthiness and notify supervisor of current or anticipated repairs.
    • Load trucks as needed.
    • Use RF Computer System for Trailer Inventory Control.
    • Complete a yard check for the purpose of tracking the inventory of trailers
    • Keep yard clean and organized.
    • Perform functions of a Warehouse Associate when needed.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prefer 1-2 years of experience.
    • Good interpersonal skills required.
    • Possess a clean and valid driver's license.
    • Forklift experience preferred.
    • Meet physical demands of position, including the ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
