    Description and Responsibilities

    The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Responsibilities include inbound receiving of raw materials, outbound shipping and shuttles, material handling within the facility, scheduling and organizing orders. Must effectively communicate with both Plant Supply Chain, Corporate Supply Chain, customers and carriers. Coordinate on material movements and order fulfilment across multiple 3PL’s.  Hours will be 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday (4:00 pm - 1:00 am), with flexibility.

     

    • Oversees the efficient operations and inventory of the plant, outside storage facilities and yard.
    • Responsible for organizing the warehouse and the work flow.
    • Maintaining inventory based on FIFO and assist in preventing customer service issues.
    • Maintain proper allergen segregation within the warehouse.
    • Responsible for delivery of KPI’s for warehouse and cost control.
    • Assist in timely processing of orders, accuracy of pick-ups, quantity of pick-ups per employee and providing resources for cycle counts.
    • Coordinate transportation carriers and performance through the utilization of TMS and ensuring all scheduled shipping and receiving appointments are timely and in support of production and customer requirements.
    • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for forklift use and general warehousing and insure these regulations are in place and enforced.
    • Ensuring warehouse operations are appropriately staffed and employees are properly trained and certified to execute their duties.
    • Ensure that production orders are pulled far enough in advance to optimize production efficiencies and reduce downtime with a goal of being 24 hours ahead.
    • Timecard approval for direct reports.

    Qualifications

    Bachelors Degree in Business with emphasis on Supply Chain/Logistics or relevant field preferred and/or 5 years of supervisory experience in warehousing/logistics.

     

     

    EXPERIENCE:    

     

    Minimum 3-5 years management and supervisory experience in shipping and receiving desired.
