    Description and Responsibilities

    3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30 am Production Supervisor is located at our Union City, CA, plant. A list of responsibilities/duties are listed below. 

    • Management of the Production team on a day to day basis. 25-30 direct reports all technicians/operators
    • Management of the daily operational efficiency initiatives
    • Efficiently execute the production schedule
    • Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration with the site engineers
    • Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department
    • Communicate and enforce regulatory & Kerry standards within the plant
    • Drive operational efficiency initiatives
    • Manage the plant production department within budget.
    • Positive working environment driving a continuous improvement theme
    • Work in collaboration with HSE officer to ensure a safe working environment
    • Responsible for manufacturing product to specification
    • Responsible for minimizing losses
    • Ensure food safety programs are instituted and followed
    • Management through KPIs
    • Must be local, or willing to commute/relocate on own 
    • Must be able to work 3rd shift. Hours 10:00pm - 6:30am and must be able to work every other Saturday 
    • Responsible for 13 different workcenters, mostly manual 






    Minimum high school degree. BS/MS in Engineering, Business and/or Food Science preferred







    Thorough understanding of unit of operations.

    Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.

       Preferred: HACCP/food safety experience

       Preferred experience in food, chemical, or

       Pharmaceutical industry











    Communication and interpersonal skills.

    Minimum 3 years of leadership and development experience in a production environment where they have managed minimum 15 people 

    Continuous Improvement project experience 

    Skills in motivating, coaching & influencing others.

    Problem solving.
