    Description and Responsibilities

    The Emulsifier and Texturant Business Unit is looking to hire a self-motivated, energetic individual to act as Supply Planner within its growing business based out of Beloit, Wisconsin. The work environment is fast-paced, challenging and results-driven.

     

    This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional looking to develop their international supply chain skills for broader career progression.  This position reports to Finance and Supply Chain Manager located in Beloit WI.

     

    This role assumes day to day supply chain needs of the business all the while focusing on a sourcing model that is 12-24 months out that includes both international and domestic production sites.  

     

    This role be will be asked to participate in demand/supply planning, inventory/age/service levels, distribution, new product commercialization and customer service support.

     

    The ideal candidate will be able to develop strong cross functional relationships in order to deliver on growth and service level goals. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills

     

    • Monitor SKU levels and recommend initiatives to reduce inventory exposure
    • Raise awareness of any current risks for shortages or excess inventory to the business
    • Host aged inventory reviews and determine solutions to stranded or excess inventory
    • Take actions to mitigate any future service level interruptions
    • Actively participate in continuous improvement to drive increased profitability
    • Place PO’s to maintain the proper inventory levels that will support service targets
    • Track Shipments from the suppliers to ensure on time receipts
    • Work with suppliers on expediting shipments when delays occur
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies driven by quantity or cost variances
    • Actively participate on QC team
    • Develop and execute plans to improve service levels on a domestic and international level
    • Lead Demand Planning regarding forecasting, service improvement, and inventory targets based on market demand, changes and trends
    • Utilize Demand Solutions to create a forecast at the plant and SKU level
    • Upload and maintain that forecast into the ERP system to drive the purchase plan, or for internally produced items to drive the plant’s production plan
    • Develop and maintain working rapport with demand planners in the US, The Netherlands, and Malaysia
    • The global natural of the position requires ability to conduct transactional details using email – rather than phone
    • Conduct follow up calls with international suppliers
    • Set, and actively manage initiatives related to quality improvement, service improvement and working capital targets.
    • Pull and format data in order to create a report that shares the KPI results to the leadership team
    • Receive feedback from the KPI discussions, and create actions to resolve issues
    • Manage the sales and operations process, ensuring delivery of valued business
    • Collaborate with business development team on new commercial opportunities

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution strongly preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered
    • Ability to manage multiple customer relationships simultaneously with varied levels of complexity
    • Strong knowledge of Demand/Supply Planning - Strong financial and inventory systems knowledge
    • Able to ‘hit the ground running’, while quickly understanding complexities of business
    • Preference for “hands on” approach to all facets of role
    • High level attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent systems knowledge, specifically; Microsoft Excel, Access, MAPICS , SAP and other ERP/DRP/MRP functionality
    • Ability to travel – Currently level of travel is limited
