    Description and Responsibilities

    The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse and staff in a safe, efficient manner. 

     

    • Maintains warehousing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
    • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
    • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
    • Liaison between customers, suppliers and transport companies.
    • Plans, coordinates and monitors the receive, order, assembly and dispatch of goods.
    • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
    • Sets up layout, ensure efficient space utilization and plan future capacity requirements.
    • Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis (FIFO, dead stock report etc.).
    • Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment such as chemicals and food appropriately stored.
    • Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment used in the warehouse.
    • Manages customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly (PSQ).
    • All other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    • The successful candidate must have at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Accounting, Applied Economics, Finance, Supply Chain or any other related field of study.
    • 5 years of relevant warehouse experience in a manufacturing warehouse and distribution leadership role (food manufacturing preferred).
    • Ability to create and manage warehouse processes
    • Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices
    • Financial and analytical capabilities to plan budgets, monitor inventory, assess data, and create reports.
    • Demonstrate success as a change agent & developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
    • Proven ability to lead with the following key competencies: Customer Care and Engagement, People Management, Critical Thinking, Continuous Cost Focus.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot problem(s) to develop corrective solutions.
