    Description and Responsibilities

    We are looking for a 3rd Shift foreperson/team leader for our Kentwood, Michigan plant that meets the following requirements:

     

    • Facilitates departmental processes and performance huddle venues to ensure we are producing high quality products and meeting production standards. 
    • Ensures that products are made in sanitary conditions and holds production team members to company and industry standards for food manufacturing.  
    • Directs employees and keeps accurate employee work records.  Audits and ensures accuracy of production materials usage paperwork.
    • Cooperates with management and production personnel to drive GMP/HACCP initiatives within the facility.
    • Establishes daily priorities and allocate resources as needed to hit production numbers and meet customer delivery timelines.
    • Collaborates with quality control technicians to ensure that customer and internal quality specifications are being met.

    Wages range from $17 to $20 per hour dependent upon experience

    Qualifications

    Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.  College degree preferred, but not required.

    • Adhere to safety, quality and good manufacturing practices
    • Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift unassisted
    • Able to stand for long periods of time, bend, climb stairs and reach
    • Effectively communicate any issues with Supervisors and fellow employees.
    • Promotes a high level of safety consciousness among employees and enforces company policies and procedures.
    • Must be able to tolerate the physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodations. 
    • Basic computer skills/knowledge with Microsoft Office applications required.

     Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be flexible to work any shift. Shifts can be up to 12 hours per day and up to 7 days a week.  Previous manufacturing experience and/or production leadership preferred.
