We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic at our Manufacturing facility in Clark, NJ. We are looking for second shift (2:30pm-10:30pm) availability after training is completed. Training may take place on a first shift or on off shifts. Must be available for weekend work as needed. *Shift subject to change*
Primary Purpose: Responsibilities include but are not limited to- building repairs, equipment maintenance and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders in a timely fashion or seeking assistance from Maintenance Manager for unforeseen issues., Following GMP's to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic. Experience in Flavor, Food or Pharma is strongly preferred.
**Current Blue Seal High Pressure Boilers License preferred or willing to obtain within first year of employment**
Expected to be competent in the following areas;
Must be able to assess mechanical deficiencies and perform corrective actions without supervision.
Must have the knowledge and experience to use Fork Trucks, Lift and Dockers.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to operate high power machinery and equipment, and manipulate hand tools. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions. Must be able to see and distinguish between labels. Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk through the warehouse.
Manufacturing environment with exposure to a variety of chemicals, raw materials, ingredients and food products.
