    Description and Responsibilities

    We have an immediate opening for a Keel Operator at our Manufacturing facility in Clark, NJ.The position is for 3rd shift 10:30pm-6:30am after training is completed. Training may take place on a first shift or on off shifts.  Must be available for weekend work as needed. *Shift subject to change

    1. Helps ensure production needs are met with regard to quality, GMPs and safety. This includes HAACP.
    2. Responsible for making sure Keel is charged correctly, utilizing process control sheets. This includes proper adding of Enzyme, double checking item numbers, Keel amount (box count), and lot numbers.
    3. Make any necessary changes to make sure batches meet quality specifications. Provide the quality department with a sample of every batch run.
    4. Operates and cleans the Tricanter properly
    5. Comprehends all aspects of the Keel control process.
    6. Comprehends all aspects of the sanitation process (pipes, tanks, tricanter).
    7. Maintains sanitation level in the Keel room area at all times.
    8. Points out equipment problems to maintenance for repairs and follows up on progress.  
    9. Works with the other Keel operators and Supervisors to ensure a smooth transition from shift to shift.
    10. Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.
    11. Understands and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
    12. Reports food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
    13. Has good understanding of the general purpose, philosophy and direction of The Kerry Group as a whole and specifically the Clark plant as it relates to employee policies and expectations, quality, customer satisfaction, GMP, sanitation, and production requirements.  
    14. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements.
    15. Read, write, and speak English. 


    Minimum Requirments

    Minimum of 6 months Manufacturing Experience preferred

    Experience in a food or flavor manufacturing environment strongly preferred

    Understanding of HAACP, GMPs. SQF and Allergen Control strongly preferred



    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 400 pounds. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions. Must be able to see and distinguish between labels. Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk through the warehouse. Must be certified to wear a respirator and follow all rules regarding respirator wear. Must be able to read, write and speak Engish.


    Working Environment: Factory environment with exposure to flavor, and basic product chemicals and raw materials
