We have an immediate opening for an Oven Operator at our Manufacturing facility in Clark, NJ. We are looking for second shift (2:30pm-10:30pm) availability after training is completed. Training may take place on a first shift or on off shifts. Must be available for weekend work as needed (shift subject to change). The Oven Operator is responsible for taking completed batches from the Vacuum Oven and finishing their processing as per batch specifications.
Comprehend all aspects of the sanitation process.
Comprehend the purpose of USDA and procedures to follow for USDA products. Complete the proper USDA documentation and contact quality for documented oversight.
Maintain sanitation level in the Oven area at all times.
Points out equipment problems to maintenance for repairs and follows up on progress.
Works with the other oven operators and Supervisors to ensure a smooth transition from shift to shift.
Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Have a good understanding of the general purpose, philosophy and direction of The Kerry Group as a whole and specifically the Clark plant as it relates to employee policies and expectations, quality, customer satisfaction, GMP, sanitation, and production requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements.
Minimum of 6 months Manufacturing Experience preferred
Experience in a food or flavor manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Understanding of HAACP, GMPs. SQF and Allergen Control strongly preferred
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 400 pounds. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions. Must be able to see and distinguish between labels. Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk through the warehouse. Must be certified to wear a respirator and follow all rules regarding respirator wear. Must be able to read, write and speak Engish.
Working Environment: Factory environment with exposure to flavor, and basic product chemicals and raw materials
