    Description and Responsibilities

    The Director of Quality Improvement is a business-critical role providing strategic vision, leadership and execution for our Global Quality Management System and SAP QM for North America. Reporting to the Head of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental for Kerry North America, the Director of Quality Improvement will be a high profile leader for our organization. Kerry is a world-class player and QHSE is a key differentiator to customers.

    • Leadership role for SAP QM implementation 
    • Responsible and accountable for managing the Quality Systems team within the QHSE
    • Working with CI, lead Quality integration into CI program i.e. root cause analysis and standard work
    • Ensure regional site accreditation and certification is maintained
    • Facilitate quality system training and share learning’s across region
    • Develop and manage the Manufacturing Quality Audit Program which encompasses Kerry plants, co-manufacturing sites and internal and external warehouses (excludes suppliers)
    • Understand & share best practice & trends internally (i.e. knowledge management)
    • Build knowledge and subject matter expertise across Kerry technologies & end use markets
    • Implement monthly reporting & insights of key Quality metrics (complaint’s, RFT)




    The position of Quality Director requires a Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent from an accredited institution in Microbiology, Food Science or science/engineering and at least 10 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in management in the food/beverage/flavors industry.


    Additionally, the applicant will have:

    • Ability for 60% domestic travel required to facilities;
    • GFSI Certification, SQF Systems Certification, or FS22000 Certification;
    • Strong knowledge of food safety and environmental monitoring;
    • Experience with writing, implementing and auditing quality policies and procedures;
    • Experience with Quality Systems, HACCP, SOPS, GMPs;
    • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action systems, process mapping, laboratory methods, document management systems and document control;
    • Expert observation, analysis and judgement (i.e. analytical and objective mindset);
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization and to create close working relationship with the Manufacturing Quality Group;
    • Excellent Interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills;
    • Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives; and
    • Certified Quality Engineer preferred, or demonstrated ability with statistical analysis (SPC) and continuous improvement tools.
