    Description and Responsibilities

    Internships at Kerry

    An internship is an excellent way to gain practical, firsthand experience in the food industry.  Kerry interns receive competitive pay, working as an engaged member of the team and applying academic knowledge to valued business projects. Some interns have earned academic credit for their Kerry internship; we fully support this endeavor. While interns learn about Kerry’s business and marketplace through a structured development program, Kerry leaders get to know and evaluate interns. As a result, a majority of interns receive offers for full-time, post-graduation roles with Kerry.


    The Maintenance Intern will support implementation of the KAMS (Kerry Asset Management System) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System MVP-Plant), with duties included but not limited to:

    • Collecting data from equipment and parts throughout the plant including Nameplate data, Vendor Information, etc.
    • Utilizing the existing CMMS System to change and update collected data
    • Learning and utilizing Maintenance Planning & Scheduling tools to help plan maintenance activities and schedule these activities within the facility
    • Transferring data from one CMMS system to the next CMMS system
    • Transferring knowledge of the process from one plant to another as the implementation continues


    College student in third (or more) year of coursework for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a history of academic excellence, manifest by high grade point average and/or faculty recommendation.


    Strong mathematical background and a familiarity with production and manufacturing standards as they relate to safety and hygiene.

    Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong computer skills with data based activities.

    Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Ability to travel or relocate for the duration of the internship may be required.
