Description and Responsibilities

Duties shall include but are not limited to the following. This description may change to meet customer, company and governmental requirements. The proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory


  • Accurately release the proper freight to the truckers as allotted by the traffic clerk or export department.
  • Accurately receive raw materials into the warehouse and record into MAPICS.
  • File freight claims as needed for raw materials delivered.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow good safety practices as directed by safety teachings.
  • Following the instructions on the worksheets for order preparation: properly label, seal, palletize and wrap product so that it meets customer’s specifications and can be transported safely and without damages.
  • Follow loading the instructions on the bills of lading accurately and safely loading freight onto trucks including any documentation as required.
  • Maintain GMP’s and PPE in the workplace.
  • Consolidate containers in shipping area to maximize space usage.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action



    • Quality minded, honest individual with previous experience in the food industry preferred
    • Able to work unsupervised, as well as working together with others
    • Good organizational, communication and mathematical skills
    • Knowledgeable in GMP and HACCP programs
    • Knowledge of food manufacturing and sanitation requirements
    • Ability and willingness to follow, plant Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Security policies and guidelines
    • Have a strong mechanical aptitude
    • Must have experience or willingness to learn the duties listed in the job description.
    • Able to work flexible hours, overtime and week-ends as required
