    Description and Responsibilities

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    The Production Manager will be located at our Liquid Beverage plant located in Savannah, Georgia. A list of daily responsibilities are listed below. 

    • Management of Production on a day to day basis with key areas of focus on production planning, health & safety, communication, training & quality.
    • Manages Production in more strategic complex sites 
    • Responsible for the efficient operation of the production process, ensuring product is supplied on time at the best cost, quality and quantity.
    • Ensures all aspects of production targets and met and where appropriate, challenged, to ultimately improve productivity.
    • Implements and maintains monitoring systems which will ensure all KPI’s are achieved. Identifies and implements process management systems which will fulfil continuous improvement. With the Quality Department, ensures all employees are trained in all aspects of quality, instilling a sound quality ethos which promotes excellent quality products leaving the factory at all times. With the Maintenance Manager, ensures all equipment is maintained to run efficiently and safely with upgrades in line with continuous improvement.
    • Promotes a culture of continuous health and safety awareness in all employees, processes, new equipment and activities together with the H&S Officer. Ensures all incidents are reported and assist in all incident investigations.
    • Responsible for 6 Production Supervisors 
    • Responsible for hiring, coaching/mentoring, training, performance reviews and development of direct reports 
    • Responsible for managing capital projects at the plant, as well as Continuous Improvement projects/initiatives 
    • Maintain the production department budget, as well as capital project budgets



    • Bachelor's degree required 
    • Demonstrated drive and determination – will get tasks completed despite obstacles. Ownership of role. High energy level.
    • Decision Maker – needs to be decisive and capable of working off own initiative when the situation demands it.
    • People Management Skills / Communication Skills – Will be leading a team and therefore will be very good at communicating with, and motivating staff.
    • Mechanical Aptitude – will be responsible for plant improvements and problem solving on machinery.
    • Problem Solving Skills – needs an analytical approach to trouble-shooting, root cause analysis.
    • Strategic thinking – candidate needs to be capable of thinking about the “bigger picture”. Also considers and thinks through all options before choosing one.
    • Technical competence – ability to understand, in depth, both products and processes.
    • High level of attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational & planning skills.
    • Innovative / creative.
    • Excellent numeracy & PC skills.
    • Commercial awareness.
    • Minimum of 5 years of food or beverage production experience 
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manager role (Production preferred)
