Description and Responsibilities

Responsible for completing testing and maintain documentation for raw materials and products according to Good Manufacturing Practices and Kerry Standard Operating Procedures.


Shift: M-F



Duties include but are not limited to:

  • chemical composition
  • color and sediment check
  • microbiological content
  • physical characteristics
  • general analytical techniques
  • Evaluate results compared to specifications and typical history. Determine disposition of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
  • Perform special testing for Logistics Department, Product Development, Purchasing or other departments.
  • Perform calibrations on and maintain laboratory equipment within the Quality Control Laboratories.
  • Review Production Batch Records to ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.
  • Validates raw materials staged for manufacturing orders at the point of use (batch-setting room, blending suites, staging locations)
  • Demonstrates leadership in the area of safety. This requires observing and enforcing safety rules and practices, encouraging safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behavior, which may lead to accidents.
  • Development of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Adherance to all safety and cGMP programs
  • Micro experience strongly preferred.





Bachelor's degree in Science or and associate's degree with the equivalent in laboratory experience necessary.




Two or more years laboratory experience. Microbiology experience preferred. Experience in food or pharmaceutical preferred.




  • Must have excellent math, language and writing skills to include the ability to speak, hear and communicate as well as the ability to read and write English.
  • Exemplary organizational, communication and interpersonal skills is a necessity.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems necessary--with experience in Windows, Word and Lotus desired.
